Practice: Macroeconomics
Twenty-eight scored problems on GDP, money and banks, government debt, trade and currencies, reading data releases, measuring and explaining inflation, the labor market, the Federal Reserve's tools, productivity, housing, and recession signals.
What you'll do
This set works through the Macroeconomics module. You'll turn annualized growth into a quarter's growth, follow government debt and a bank's capital, convert foreign earnings, put a margin of error on a jobs report, build inflation from its parts, sort demand shocks from supply shocks, compute unemployment and participation, apply the Taylor rule, work out unit labor costs and doubling times, price a higher mortgage rate, and check the Sahm rule. Each answer comes with the working, and your score appears as you go. Nothing is recorded outside this browser.

Work through the problems in order and check each answer once you've committed to it. The score counts your first try. All the figures here are hypothetical unless a problem says otherwise.
